Chalobah Set to Replace Guehi in England Selection

Trevoh Chalobah emulated his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the 21st pair of siblings to play for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is set to join up with the England squad to fill in for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old footballer is set to join the team for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, although it has not yet been confirmed.

The Three Lions have already secured qualification for the upcoming World Cup.

Chalobah received his maiden selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then earned his first cap against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the selection for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally omitted him for the next October international break.

Tuchel has been an important presence in Chalobah's progress, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in the year 2021.

Chalobah has appeared in almost every fixtures for Chelsea this season, with the club in third place in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the Champions League.

Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League win over the Dutch side last week.

There are set to be additional additions to the selection. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the squad.
