Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A plane ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence is not the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
